George Clooney has revealed that he has been fired a lot.
The actor said that he could easily relate to his character in his latest movie Up In The Air, which follows Ryan Bingham who travels around the country firing people.
In an interview with Access Hollywood: There are a lot of things about this guy I understand. "Part of it is - and a good portion of it is - that you can spend a large part of your time literally up in the air, you can spend it working and missing part of your life.
"I spent a long time unemployed and when you are broke and unemployed, when you finally start working you don't want to stop.
"Sometimes when you do that you'll end up missing your family, your friends, people that you care about.
"I've been fired from a good many jobs. I have some understanding of it... I did not have a family to support so I did not have the same sort of pressure that other people have."
It's set to be a busy few days for the popular actor with no less than three movies screening at the London Film Festival.
Animation Fantastic Mr Fox opened the festival last week and Up In The Air and The Men Who Stare At Goats are also on the schedule.
