George Clooney has revealed that he is not listening to easily Oscar whispers surrounding his performances.
The actor is tipped to pick up another Best Actor Oscar nomination for his central performance in The Descendants.
He is also back behind the camera for The Ides of March, which he also stars in and wrote, and that too is an early favourite for the awards season.
Speaking to ABS-CBN Europe the actor said: "I don’t pay attention to that.I’ve been on both sides of that equation a few times now, and what I have learnt about it is whenever someone says that, they’re complimenting the work and for that you say ‘thank you’.
"It’s a very nice thing to say. It’s the result of a lot of people doing a lot of hard work."
The Descendants sees him team up with filmmaker Alexander Payne while The Ides of March his is his first directorial outing since Leatherheads.
The Ides of March is released 28th October.
The Descendants is out 27th January.
