Geoff Johns has revealed that he would like to see a Green Lantern sequel.
The DC Comic chief creative office has said that despite the disappointment of the first movie this summer he is 'hopeful' that a second film will be given the go ahead.
Ryan Reynolds took on the role of the title character earlier this year in a movie that was universally panned by the critics - going on to struggle at the box office.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter Johns said: "There is the hope that we will eventually see one. Obviously you want it to be as big as Titanic.
"I hope that the character gets another film, and it will be live-action again, I guarantee."
The DC Comic movie has been unable to contend with Marvel this summer with X-Men: First Class, Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger all doing well with the critics and at the box office.
