Gemma Arterton has revealed that, despite the challenges, she enjoyed doing her own stunt work.
The actress moves into the big budget blockbuster this week with Clash of the Titans, starring alongside Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes.
Speaking to the Sunday Mail the actress said: "We were inside a crater in the volcano so the terrain was gravel and every time I fell over I was covered in wounds," she admitted. "But I loved doing my own stunts.
"I remember one time Sam [Worthington] and I could only do an uphill spring four times because we were so breathless."
"I spent ten days fighting giant scorpions and I loved that because they were about the size of a house.
"We used animatronic scorpions, rather than computer-created things on green screen, so you had a real idea of a humongous claw the size of a table reaching out at you."
Clash of the Titans is just the first blockbuster for the actress this year as she moves onto Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time this summer.
Clash of the Titans is released 2nd April.
