Gemma Arterton has revealed that it was a risk taking on two similar genre movies in the form of Clash of the Titans and Prince of Persia: Sands of Time.
Clash of the Titans is first up for the actress, as she moves over to the blockbuster, starring alongside Sam Worthington.
But Arterton had to think long and hard before taking on the role of Io have just completed Prince of Persia.
Speaking to Empire the actress said: "There was a bot of, 'Oh no another fantasy action flick!' But the characters are so very different.
"Io's an old earth mother type in a young woman's body; Tamina's a feisty young princess very snooty and with more comedy.
"Even if they're a similar genre, Clash is a lot more epic, with more story to tell; Prince of Persia is based on the computer game. so there's more of a focus on action."
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, which is based on the popular computer game, sees her team up with Jake Gyllenhaal in the Mike Newell directed movie.
