Gemma Arterton has admitted that she still pinches herself because she cannot believe the success that she has had.
The actress shot to fame in 2007 when she landed a role in St Trinians before becoming a Bond Girl in Quantum of Solace.
But her star looks set to rise even further this year as she takes on the blockbuster in the form of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time but first Clash of the Titans.
In an interview with Total Film Arterton said: "I do every day. I really can't get my head around it.
"Two years ago I was at drama school doing Chekov and now I'm in a film that I watched fifty times as a kid with my sister. I had a massive crush on Harry Hamlin.
"It's extraordinary what happened but I'm trying to take it all in my stride."
But it's not all blockbusters for British actress as she has also taken on the central role in smaller movie The Disappearance of Alice Creed.
Tamara Drewe and Wuthering Heights are also in the pipeline.
Clash of the Titans is released 2nd April.
