Gemma Arterton has admitted that she struggled playing a kidnap victim in her latest movie The Disappearance Of Alice Creed.
The movie is a more low key movie for the British actress but she revealed that it was an exhausting shoot which often resulted in tears.
Speaking to The Mirror the actress said: "I actually didn't realise when I was doing it that it was really hard.
"You know, I'd just go straight to bed - I was exhausted and often I was in tears for, like, eight hours a day."
"It was physically exhausting, because I was handcuffed and tied to a bed. It was full-on, but that's why I love acting - all these different experiences that you would never have in your own life, hopefully, you know, so it was a great, great experience."
2010 looks set to be an incredibly busy year for the actress as she finds herself in the big budget blockbuster later this year.
First up she teams up with Sam Worthington in a remake of Clash of the Titans before going on to star alongside Jake Gyllenhaal in computer game inspired Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.
