Gemma Arterton is refusing to lose weight after she was criticised by the press for appearing noticeably curvier earlier this year (09).
Tabloid newspapers mocked the actress in January (09) after she appeared to have put on weight following her role in the 007 hit Quantum Of Solace.
But while the British beauty admits she was hurt by the comments, she remains proud of her curves.
She says, "I refuse to conform to this muscly, sinewy look that so many actresses seem to think is attractive. I hate it and I don't think it's very feminine."
And critics of Arterton's looks will be silenced after hearing about her next role: "I'm about to shoot a new movie and the first scenes involve me wearing a brown paper bag over my head, so that should shut people up."
The British shot to fame with her role in St Trinian's in 2007 but cemented herself as an up and coming talent when she landed the role of Agent Fields in Quantum of Solace with Daniel Craig.
The actress will next be seen in The Boat That Rocked and blocbuster Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.
