Gemma Arteron has revealed that she is ‘thrilled’ and ‘honoured’ to be short listed for the Orange Wednesdays Rising Star Award.
The actress has been nominated alongside Andrew Garfield, Aaron Johnson, Tom Hardy and Emma Stone.
Speaking to the Press Association the actress said: "I am absolutely thrilled and honoured to be one of the shortlisted actors for the Orange Wednesdays Rising Star Award.
“2010 was an incredible year for me and to be recognised in this way by both my peers and the film-going public is amazing.
"I'm in very good company with the other actors who have been nominated, so it is a huge compliment to be considered to win this prestigious award."
Arterton had a very successful 2010 as she stepped into the blockbuster with Clash of the Titans and Prince of Persia.
But then she mixed and matched her roles as she then starred in Tamara Drewe and The Disappearance of Alice Creed.
