Gary Oldman has revealed that he couldn't turn down Kung Fu Panda 2.
Oldman voices the character of Lord Shen in the animation sequel - which sees Jack Black return to the role of Jack Black.
Speaking to the Belfast telegraph the actor said: "He fits very nicely in the gallery of Oldman villains! I play Lord Shen, he can be a rather nasty peacock," Gary said.
"I thought it was brilliantly made, the first one. It came with a pedigree, a phenomenon in a way, that if someone is offered it then it's a hard one to turn down."
"It's quite a feat of animation, he's quite something. It's animated so much his movement is almost balletic, it's very graceful," Gary said.
And it's set to be a busy year for actor who has already completed work on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 and Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.
He is currently filming The Dark Knight Rises in which he reprises the role of Jim Gordon.
Kung Fu Panda 2 is out now.
