Freddie Highmore says that his new movie The Art of Getting By tries to be truthful about relationships.
The British actor teams up with American star Emma Roberts in the Gavin Wiesen directed romance drama.
Speaking to Digital Spy the actor said: "The Art of Getting By represents that relationship in a more truthful way.
"It's fantastic but at the same time it brings troubles as well and it's not all plane sailing.
"That's what really stood out to me, the accuracy of it and the attempt to make it as true-to-life as possible."
Freddie Highmore has already enjoyed a hugely successful career with the likes of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Finding Neverland and August Rush under his belt.
The Art of Getting By is released 2nd September.
