Emma Watson

Emma Watson says that she can relate to Marilyn Monroe.

The actress is set to return to the big screen this week in My Week With Marilyn, in which she plays wardrobe assistant Lucy.

The movie follows the trials and tribulations of Monroe during the filming of The Prince and the Showgirl.

And Watson admits that she can certainly understand the pressure that Monroe felt under.

Speaking to The Mirror the actress said: "I certainly feel a lot for her and for what she went through.

"I think she was just trying to find her feet in the midst of this kind of crazy circus that went on around her, and trying to find some sort of balance and some sort of normality in her life, and I can definitely relate to that."

My Week With Marilyn is the first role for Watson since Harry Potter came to a close this summer.

She has also completed work on The Perks of Being a Wallflower, which sees her team up with Logan Lerman.

My Week With Marilyn is released 25th
