Emma Stone has revealed that it was Jennifer Lawrence who inspired her to take on the role of Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider Man.
The actress is stepping into blockbuster territory for the very first time this summer and she was revealed to hear that Lawrence had many of the same concerns before she took on the role of Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games.
Speaking to Access Hollywood the actress said: "I love Jennifer Lawrence and I watched a lot of her interviews for Hunger Games. It was kind of the same thing she was feeling'".
"What scared me was the idea of, 'What could happen to my life after doing something like this?' But the part and the process outweighed that fear.
"It felt like a stupid reason to not be part of this - what might happen [and] how [my] life could change didn't feel like enough of a reason to not play Gwen, not to get to be involved with this and not to get to act with Andrew [Garfield] or to get to tell the story in a different way."
Stone will play Gwen alongside Andrew Garfield's Peter Parker as the Spider Man franchise gets a re-boot later this summer.
The Amazing Spider Man will be the first big screen outing for Stone in 2012 but she has a whole host of projects in the pipeline including Gangster Squad, which sees her reunite with Ryan Gosling.
She has also completed work on an untitled comedy and lent her voice to animation movie The Croods.
The Amazing Spider Man is released 3rd July
