Emily Blunt learnt ballet for her new role on The Adjustment Bureau.
The actress teams up with Matt Damon in the George Nolfi thriller as ballerina Elise Sellas who has an affair with a politician.
The actress revealed that as well as learning to dance she went on a strict diet to stay in shape for the part.
In an interview with Elle the actress said: "I had to learn to do ballet for the role, which was terrifying - you can't really get away with half-assing it.
"There's something very exposing about dancing in front of people. It's like asking someone to look you in the eye and sing without any sense of irony. It's that embarrassing.
"Last night I had steamed pork buns that made me want to weep. I feel like I'm just emerging from a food coma.
"After Bourne [Identity] and Invictus, [Damon] was like, 'Just for once, I don't have to go to the gym, so I'm going to eat burgers in front of you and you're going to have to deal with it'."
2010 has been a busy year for the British actress as she has completed work on Gulliver's Travels which is released at the end of the year, as well as lending her voice to Gnomeo and Juliet.
She has two projects in the pipeline; The Girl, directed by David Riker, and Salmon Fishing in the Yemen with Ewan McGregor.
