Elle Fanning has described J.J. Abrams as a caring director.
The teenage actress teams up with the filmmaker for new movie Super 8 - Abrams' first movie since he helmed Star Trek.
And Fanning had nothing but praise for the filmmaker.
Speaking to BlackBook magazine the actress said: "J.J. was so good with us.
"When we were doing the big train-crash sequence, all these explosions were going on, and there were so many people everywhere - and then you have these six kids.
"He had to take care of us and make sure that we weren't getting into trouble."
Super 8 has already topped the U.S. box office when it was released last weekend - toppling X-Men: First Class from the top spot.
Super 8 is released 5th August.
