Drew Goddard has admitted that he is excited about working with Steven Spielberg on Robopocalypse.
Goddard has penned the script for the sci-fi movie, which will be Spielberg's next directing project.
Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter Goddard said: "With Steven, there's a reason he's the greatest director in the world, it's because he's able to be involved in all of these things, all the time.
"So nothing happens without his say or blessing.
"I can't speak too much because Mr Spielberg likes to keep things pretty secret, as he should... it's a wonderful hard science look at what happens if our technology turns on us in the future, and it's the sort of epic science fiction that nobody does better than Steven Spielberg.
"So I couldn't be more excited about it."
Goddard has made a name for himself writing for the likes of Cloverfield. Lost and Alias over the years.
But he has made his directorial debut over the weekend with his new movie The Cabin In The Woods, which was produced by Joss Whedon.
