Denzel Washington has called his new movie Unstoppable the 'most frightening' film of his career.

The actor reunites with filmmaker Tony Scott for Unstoppable, which follows Washington and Pine as they try to stop a runaway unmanned train carrying combustible liquids.

Speaking at the Los Angeles premiere of the movie the Oscar winning said: "It was the craziest, most frightening, exciting thing I've done on film, I think, in my life.

"I can't believe what I actually did in this," the actor joked. "I can't believe [Tony] talked me into it and I can't believe I did it!"

"You will see me running on top of a train going 50mph and it's me and helicopters flying around. It was crazy but it pays off - it's an intense film."

And the actor admits that there were some parts of the shoot when he did question what he was doing.

"I was standing up on top of this train and we're about to pull out and we know we're going to go 40 or 50 mph and I'm supposed to run across the top.

"I'm going 'they haven't paid me enough and even if they did I may not to be able to ever spend it.'"

Unstoppable is the second film of the year for Washington after he enjoyed success at the beginning of 2010 with The Book of Eli.

Unstoppable is released 24th November
