Demi Moore believes that her new movie The Joneses carries an important message of balancing money and family.

The actress is back on the big with her new movie, which sees her star alongside  David Duchovny as a couple who are living the American Dream.

Speaking to Contactmusic the actress said: "At the heart of it I do believe that the most important messages is that there's anything wrong with our desire for nice things - things that are new, cutting edge, great car, great house, great job.

It's just that at the end of the day that cliche, of saying when we get to the end of our life nobody's asking for another day of work.

"Nobody's asking for that new Yves Saint Laurent bag.

"They're going to say I wish I had another day with the people I love. I think at the heart of it that's what it's trying to communicate."

The Joneses is the first movie of 2010 for Moore, her first film since Happy Tears, but has Bunraku in the pipeline.

The Joneses is released 23rd April.
