Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1 rules the Australian box office as it took in excess of $15.2 million in the opening weekend.
The movie has been a huge hit worldwide and has so far taken $330 million in the first weekend of release.
The movie begins the end of the Harry Potter saga, with the second part of the movie hitting the big screen next summer.
Last week's number one, Jackass 3D, was down just a single place to number two as it couldn't hold off the challenge from Deathly Hallows.
The Social Network was also down a single place from two to three while action flick Red held onto fourth spot.
This week's biggest faller was sci-fi movie Skyline which dropped two place from three to round off the top five.
Life As We Know It, Wild Target, The American, Paranormal Activity 2 and The Town all moved down just a single place to six, seven, eight, nine and ten.
