Dear John
Dear John has enjoyed more box office success as it becomes the #1 movie in the UK, toppling Clash of the Titans.
Directed by Lasse Hallström the movie stars Channing Tatum and Amanda Seyfried and follows a soldier who falls for a conservative college student while he's home on leave.
Dear John, which toppled Avatar when it was released in America, grossed £1.9 million compared to Clash of the Titans' £1.5 million to end it's box office reign.
The action adventure movie had to settle for second while How To train Your Dragon also fell one place from two to three.
There were also one place drops for Kick Ass and Nanny McPhee and the big bang as they finished the week and four and five respectfully.
The Ghost, which is the latest movie from Roman Polanski, was the second new entry at number six.
The movie is based on the Robert Harris novel of the same name and stars Pierce Brosnan, Ewan McGregor and Kim Cattrall.
There was also a new entry in at seven in the form of the new collaboration between Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, Cemetery Road.
Towards the bottom of the top ten there were three place drops for Alice in Wonderland, The Blind Side and Remember Me, a second film inside the top ten for Brosnan.
