The Joneses

The Joneses

David Duchovny and Demi Moore lived in style while making new movie The Joneses just outside Atlanta, Georgia - they had a mansion each on set.

The film, in which the two stars play a fake married couple, was shot on a near-vacant estate in Alpharetta and developers let the film's stars and crew stay in the empty superhomes.

Duchovny says, "It was this ready-made set that would have cost billions of dollars...

"It was a planned neighbourhood of McMansions, built during the boom times and nowadays it's about half filled. So we just moved into a few of these amazingly huge houses.

"It was really a beautiful neighbourhood."

The actors join forces for Derrick Borte's feature length directorial debut The Joneses, which also stars Amber Heard, Gary Cole and Ben Hollingsworth.

The Joneses follows perfect couple Steve and Kate Jones, and their gorgeous teen-aged children Jenn and Mick, are the envy of their posh, suburban neighbourhood filled with McMansions and all the trappings of the upper middle class.

Kate is the ultimate trend setter - beautiful, sexy, dressed head-to-toe in designer labels. Steve is the admired successful businessman who has it all: a gorgeous wife, big house and an endless supply of high-tech toys.

Jenn and Mick rule their new school as they embody all that is hip and trendy - cool clothes, fast cars and the latest gadgets. But as the neighbours try to keep up with the Joneses, none are prepared for the truth about this all- too perfect family.

The Joneses is released 23rd April.
