Danny Boyle is now linked with a remake of musical My Fair Lady.
After his Oscar success, which saw him pick up a Best Director gong for Slumdog Millionaire, the British filmmaker is now inundated with offers of work.
Earlier in the week Boyle was linked with Bond twenty three after admitting he was a fan of the franchise. But yesterday a spokeswoman told FemaleFirst that he had no intention of taking on the 007 project despite being 'flattered' at being considered.
But according to Entertainment Weekly the Oscar winner is now rumoured to be considering taking on the musical that has been written Emma Thompson, who won an Oscar for her Sense and Sensibility screenplay.
Keira Knightley is also supposed to be in talks to play flower girl Eliza Doolittle in a My Fair Lady remake.
The British actress is the favourite to take Audrey Hepburn's iconic role in the update of the 1964 musical, based on George Bernard Shaw's comedy of manners Pygmalion.
The film will be produced by Duncan Kenworthy and theatre impresario Cameron Mackintosh, who hope to shoot the film on location in the original London settings of Covent Garden, Drury Lane and the Ascot racecourse.
