Daniel Radcliffe has ruled himself out of a planned Lord of the Rings prequel - because he doesn't want to play Bilbo Baggins.
The young actor has long been considered the hot favourite to lead the cast of The Hobbit - but he insists the role should go to someone else.
He says, "I’d have to say, ‘Thanks but no thanks,’ not that anyone has asked me.
"Honestly, I don’t think they would want me anyway; it’s just too close (to Potter franchise). Whatever I do next, I don’t think there will be any wizards in it!"
Radcliffe, who is currently working on the final two films in the Potter franchise, would like to see Scottish actor James McAvoy as J.R.R. Tolkien's most famous literary character in Peter Jackson and Guillermo del Toro's new film.
He adds, "James McAvoy is fantastic. I think he should play it. I’ve done the fantasy film thing. Actually, so has he, with the Chronicles of Narnia, of course.
"But I’ve done it for longer. He can take over. I’m done."
