Daniel Radcliffe has revealed that the hardest part of his job as an actor is the emotional element to roles.

Radcliffe is back on the big screen early next year with a much anticipated adaptation of Susan Hill's novel The Woman In Black.

The movies sees the actor take on the central role in what will be his first post Potter movie - and a complete departure to anything that we have seen him in before.

Despite having some struggles with emotions in the past the young actor believes that he is now more able to put his own feelings into character.

Speaking to Empire magazine the actor said: "The emotional stuff is the trickiest, absolutely.

"And that's why I feel I made some strides in this film because actually, for the first time, I felt able to really allow my own emotions to come out through the character.

"I know it sounds bizarre to say this now, but it was a fairly new experience for me, for whatever reason.

"I think I had a sense of it on the last Potter, but not before then."

The Woman In Black is directed by James Watkins while Janet McTeer and Ciaran Hinds are also on the cast list.

The Woman In Black is released 10th February.
