Daniel Craig

Daniel Craig has admitted that he loves playing James Bond and hopes that the movie will not be on hold for too long.

Filming for Bond 23 was due to get underway at some point this year, which would have seen Craig take on the role of 007 for the third time, but the movie has been put on hold due to the financial problems facing MGM.

Absolute Now quoted him as saying: "The new Bond movie is on hold but I am champing at the bit to get going on it as quickly as possible.

"I love playing Bond - I don't want to be away from it for too long."

Craig hasn't been seen on the big screen since 2008's Defiance but has had the roles roaring in in that time having already completed work on Dream House and The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn.

Dream House is directed by Brothers filmmaker Jim Sheridan and sees him work alongside Rachel Weisz and Naomi Watts while Titin sees him reunite with Jamie Bell in the Steven Spielberg directed, Peter Jackson produced movie.

He is currently filming Jon Favreau's Cowboys and Aliens alongside Harrison Ford and has been linked to the role of Mikael Blomkvist in the American remake of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
