Colin Firth believes that a third Bridget Jones movies could potentially go ahead.
The actor took on the role of mark Darcy in the two comedy movies, which were adaptations of Helen Fielding's books, alongside Renee Zellweger.
Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason was released back in 2004 and now Firth has hinted that a third film could be on the cards.
Speaking to Extra TV the Oscar nominee said: "I think there's a chance. The writing department's been busy.
"A sequel is one thing, but a third, now that they've aged a bit, could be far more interesting."
But Firth is already surrounded in Oscar whispers after his ne movie The King's Speech was met well by the critics on the festival circuit.
The actor takes on the role of King George VI in the movie as he tries to over come a stammer and he has been tipped to pick up a second Best Actor Oscar nod.
