Colin Farrell has revealed that he would love to do a comedy movie.
In his career that has spanned over a decade the actor has mixed and matched his roles with cop movies, war films, drama and the blockbuster but the Irish star is yet to turn his hand to comedy.
Speaking to Total Film the actor said: "The one thing I haven't really done is the middle-of-the-road comedy, which will be terrifying I think - something with Steve Carell, that kind of stuff.
"I thought Knocked Up was genius. I liked Superbad very much too. I can watch Steve Carell in anything. Elf is one of my favourite films of the last ten years.
Farrell's new movie Ondine sees him return home to Ireland in the Neil Jordan directed movie.
The movie follows an Irish fisherman who discovers a woman in his fishing net who he believes to be a mermaid.
London Boulevard is up nest for the actor, which will see him star alongside Keira Knightley, Ray Winstone and Anna Friel.
