Ciaran Hinds admits that he was nervous about stepping onto the Harry Potter set but reveals that it was Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint that put him at ease.
The actor takes on the role of Aberforth Dumbledore in the second instalment of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which is released this summer.
And Hinds had nothing but praise for his young co-stars.
Speaking to the Daily Record the actor said: "I'll tell you, being on set on Harry Potter was nerve-wracking.
"It was surreal to be in a room with those three kids, all of whom know exactly what they're doing.
"And then there's you, who has been around for a long time, and they're the ones putting you at ease and making sure you know what you're doing on set."
"It was bizarre. But it was also really interesting to see things from that perspective. With every job, you're typically looking for the director to make sure you're doing the right thing but with Emma, Rupert and Daniel, that has become part of their psyche," he recalled.
"They've been doing that job so long, they have such ease and an instant connection with it, and a real truthfulness."
The actor will also be seen alongside Daniel Radcliffe in a big screen adaptation of The Woman In Black while he has also finished work on John Carter of Mars, which also stars Mark Strong and Dominic West.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 is released 15th July 2011.
