Christian Bale has revealed that he wasn't sure about working with filmmaker McG.
The pair team up for the fourth film in the Terminator franchise Terminator Salvation and he had to be convinced to get involved with the project.
In an interview with Contact Music he said: "There's a hurdle for starters, working with somebody called McG. And listen, he's the first to admit that. He's a great man who's happy to call himself McG."
I was a real sceptic. I just felt like there was no need for any more chapters in this anthology, but he had some great ideas.
But after researching the filmmakers back catalogue of work Bale had a change of heart and took on yet another big budget blockbuster role.
"[McG] asked me to take a leap of faith... and I think he's managed to pull it off."
Bale takes on the role of John Connor in the new movie who is leading man's resistance in the war against Skynet.
Terminator Salvation is released in the UK on 3rd June.
