Christian Bale called a radio station in America to apologise for his on set rant that made it on to the internet last week saying: "I acted like a punk".
Bale launched a three minute foul mouthed tirade to a crew member Shane Hurlbut who walked into eye line during a take on his movie Terminator Salvation.
Speaking to the LA based station KROQ the actor said: "I was out of order beyond belief. I make no excuses for it."
"The thing that disturbs me so much is that I've heard a lot of people saying that I seem to think that I'm better than anybody else.
"Nothing could be further from the truth. I am a very lucky and that is why I put so much into what I do, and why I care so much about it and why sometimes my enthusiasm just goes awry."
As well as trying to set things right Bale dismissed the threats of getting Shane Hurlbut fired going on to say: "I've not only talked with him, we have resolved this completely.
Bale takes over the Terminator franchise in the role of John Connor, the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators.
However it was revealed last week that the franchise's original creator James Cameron has not backed the project now in the hands of director McG.
