Chris Hemsworth has admitted that he is disappointed that Kenneth Branagh will not be returning to the director's chair for a second Thor movie.
Thor hit the big screen back in May as Branagh helmed his first big budget blockbuster - but decided that he would not take on a sequel.
Speaking to the Los Angeles Times the actor said: "I'm really disappointed. Ken built that character, and everything I know about the Thor world I learned while shoulder-to-shoulder with Ken. I learned so much from him."
The actor also revealed that he enjoyed his time working with the director and admits that he learnt a lot from him.
"As long as he's happy, that's the thing. I learned so much from Ken while we built [the first film], so at least I had that time with someone like that.
"The start of anything creative is the most important period in a way. That's when the most can go wrong, and Ken made sure we got it right."
Thor has taken $447 million at the global box office so far this summer and was the #1 movie in both the U.S and UK.
Hemsworth will reprise the role next year with The Avengers, which will see him work alongside Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans as they reprise their roles of Iron Man and Captain America.
