Chris Evans has revealed that he enjoys playing supporting movie roles.
The actor is back o the big screen later this month with The Losers, which could well be one of the sleeper hits of the year.
Evans stars alongside Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Idris Elba and Columbus Short and he admits that he doesn’t mind not always being the leading man.
In an interview with Empire magazine the actor said: "I really like playing supporting roles.
"I wish I could think of a good analogy - its different ride. You get to play your role and then you get to step back a little bit.
"It’s different than playing the guy who’s front and centre. The front and centre guys are usually the leading man, the guy you’re with through the movie, the straight man, and the supporting roles are wacky and interesting."
But the supporting role isn’t going to last much longer for Evans as he has been cast as Captain America in the latest marvel comic book hero to get the big screen treatment.
Captain America is scheduled for a July 2011 release.
