Chris Evan has described Captain America: The First Avenger as his biggest fear.
The actor admits that he was so afraid to take on the Marvel movie role that that is what persuaded him to do it.
The actor steps into the role of Steve Rogers AKA Captain America later this summer - a return to the Marvel universe after The Fantastic Four.
Speaking to GQ magazine the actor said: "I said no a bunch, and every time I said no, I woke up the next morning so happy and content.
"I kept saying no; they kept coming back.
"And eventually I was like, 'You know what? This is your biggest fear - this is exactly what you have to do'."
The movie sees Joe Johnston, the man behind The Wolfman, back in the director's chair - and he as assembled a great cast.
Hugo Weaving, Stanley Tucci, Tommy Lee Jones, Dominic Cooper and Hayley Atwell are all on board.
Captain America: The First Avenger is released 29th July
