Charlize Theron has described her new role in Young Adult as they kind of part that actresses wait for.
The Oscar winning star is back on the big screen in the new year as she teams up with director Jason Reitman and script writer Diablo Cody.
Speaking to USA Today the actress said: "I'd be blind to not see the potential in the character. These are the kinds of roles women wait for.
"It scared me. There's so much about her - when you hold up the mirror, you see almost too much you don't want to acknowledge.
"But that coincides with what makes my job exciting."
We haven't seen Theron on the big screen since The Road but Young Adult is just the first project we will be seeing her in next year with Snow White and the Huntsman and Prometheus to be released.
Young Adult is released 10th February.
