Oscar winner Cate Blanchett is keen to appear in a third movie as Queen Elizabeth - because the 16th Century British monarch is "endlessly fascinating". The actress starred as Elizabeth in the 1998 film, and has reprised her role in forthcoming sequel The Golden Age.And Blanchett insists there is more material about the royal to merit further movies.Blanchett says, "There are endless possibilities with Elizabeth... And I think there will be a lot more Elizabeth (films) because she's endlessly fascinating." The 1998 movie followed the young Elizabeth as she succeeded her sister Mary to the throne and the first partr of her reign as she attempts to deal with assassination plans.The film, which had an all star cast including Geoffrey Rush, Christopher Eccleston, Joseph Finnes and Richard Attenborough, recieved critical acclaim and landed Blanchett an Oscar nomination for Best Actress as well as a nomination for Best Picture.In the sequel Elizabeth: The Golden Age the Virgin Queen must prepare herself for war against the armies of Spain as well as control her growing feelings for Sir Walter Raleigh.
