Brett Ratner has revealed that he would return to the X-Men franchise.
The Rush Hour director took over the reigns of X-Men: The Last Stand back in 2006 after Bryan Singer left the project to focus on Superman.
However it was a last minute appointment after Matthew Vaughn pulled out of the project before shooting began.
The film grossed over $459 and Ratner has admitted that he would return if the script was right.
Speaking to MTV he said: "The thing with the X-Men universe is, I feel like I've already done it. Certain things I would go after and certain things only if the script is great."
"I heard a rumour that they were going to do a young X-Men, which would be great.
"I would love to see a Magneto movie personally, because I love the Holocaust backstory. I'd love to see a Storm movie too."
New York, I Love You is Ratner's next movie where he is one of various filmmakers that have contributed to the film.
