Brendan Fraser is to make his Broadway debut in the latest run of Ingvar Ambjornsen's Elling.
He'll hit the stage alongside True Blood star Denis O'Hare and Jennifer Coolidge in the quirky comedy about two odd recluses who share a state-funded flat together after being institutionalised.
Ambjornsen's Norwegian novels were adapted into a cult Peter Naess' film in 2001. Naess also adapted the story for the stage in Scandinavia.
Elling was well received by critics in London when it hit the West End in 2007.
Previews of Fraser's Elling begin on 2 November (10).
Fraser was last seen on the big screen in family comedy Fury Vengeance and has been linked to This Side of the Looking Glass, a movie Ian Holm and Donald Sutherland have also been linked to.
A fourth The Mummy movie is also rumoured to be in the pipeline for the actor.
