Disney.Pixar’s latest comedy adventure 'Brave' took a whopping £8.2 million winning the number one spot at the UK box office.
Set in the rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland and with an all-star UK voice cast including Kelly Macdonald, Emma Thompson, Billy Connolly, Robbie Coltrane, Kevin McKidd and Julie Walters, the film celebrates what’s wonderful and inspiring about the UK in a year that has showcased the country at its best.
Brave’s fresh and contemporary score by Oscar®-nominated composer Patrick Doyle elevates its authenticity as well as two original songs performed by lauded Scottish Gaelic singer Julie Fowlis.
The film also features 'Learn Me Right' an original song performed by Birdy, whose self-titled album has been awarded Gold and Platinum status in UK and Europe respectively, and the Grammy®-nominated British folk rock group Mumford & Sons, who also wrote, arranged and produced the track.
