Bradley Cooper suffered from depression after filming The A-Team.

The Hangover star is back on the big screen this summer with blockbuster The A-Team, based on the bit TV show, as Templeton Faceman Peck alongside Liam Neeson, Sharlto Copley and Quinton Jackson.

And the actor underwent a gruelling diet and fitness regime to prepare for the movie but piled on the weight after completing the shoot.

He told People: "I shrunk back down two weeks after we finished shooting. It was depressing. Before that, I spent much longer brushing my teeth [to look at myself in the mirror]," he said.

"I was craving pizza so badly that the night we finished shooting I ate two arugula and prosciutto pies and a plate of Cherry Garcia ice cream with trail mix on top of it. And I did it again the next night."

The A-Team is the third movie of the year for the actor after Case 39, in which he starred alongside Renee Zellweger, and Valentine's Day.

And Cooper is a very in demand man with the Dark Fields, which sees him star alongside Robert De Niro, Anna Friel and Abbie Cornish, is already in post production.

A second The Hangover movie is in the pipeline and he will also star in Which Brings Me To You with Kate Winslet.

The A-Team is released 30th July.
