Bradley Cooper is rumoured to be in talks to star in Dark Invasion.
The movie is a big screen adaptation of Harold Blum's novel of the same name and Warner Bros have acquired the right to make it into a feature.
Cooper is apparently being lined up to take on the lead role in the film that is set in America during the First World War.
In 1915 the U.S. was still neutral but German spies were sent to the U.S. It is believed that Cooper would play a police captain who is tasked with bringing them to justice.
A director for the project has not yet been named and the book on which the film will be based will be released later this year.
2012 was a stellar year for Cooper after his role in The Silver Linings Playbook - a role that earnt him a Golden Globe and an Oscar nomination.
He will be back on the big screen this year as he reprises the role of Phil in The Hangover Part III.
He will also be reunited with his Silver Linings Playbook co-star Jennifer Lawrence for Serena.
