Black Swan has toppled The Green Hornet from the top of the box office in Australia.
Natalie Portman has already picked up the Golden Globe and the SAG award for her central performance and is expected to walk away with the Oscar.
Black Swan is the first movie for Darren Aronofsky since the success of The Wrestler. It took $2.1 million over the weekend to rise two places from number three - just piping True Grit to the top spot.
True Grit sees a return to the director's chair for Joel and Ethan Coen - and it's another Oscar nominee, as they remake the John Wayne movie.
The movie is the first of just two new entries inside the top ten this week as it grossed $1.9 million in it's opening weekend.
The Green Hornet fell two places to this week's number three while The King's Speech moved up from five to four.
Yogi Bear was this week's biggest faller as it fell three places from number two to round off the top five.
Disney's fiftieth animation movie Tangled fell two places from four to six while The Fighter was donw one at number seven.
How Do You Know, which sees the return of Reese Witherspoon to the big screen, was the second and final new entry at number eight.
Burlesque fell two to number nine and The Dilemma, which was also down two rounded off the top ten.
