Bill Murray says that he is not getting excited about all the early Oscar chatter that is surrounding his new movie Hyde Park On Hudson.
The funnyman is back on the big screen as he takes on the role of Franklin Delano Roosevelt alongside Laura Linney.
The movie and the two central performances are already being considered as early Oscar possibilities - despite the fact that we are only in September - but Murray is not getting carried away with it all.
Speaking to the Press Association the actor said: "You can't get all ramped up and amped up about this thing all the time.
"I got excited about it once, and it was odd. I won literally all the prizes all the way up to the last one. And I really thought, 'I've just to go get this thing, I'll be right back'.
"And then I didn't win, and I thought, 'Well, that's odd. How odd is that? I'm feeling so odd now.' And I came all dressed up and didn't win. So I'm not going to get all crazy about that."
"It was OK that I didn't win, and I don't have any hard feelings about it. It was like, 'OK, that was cool, I'm fine.
"I'm fine with the way my career's gone. I'm happy with it. It's gone great. The great thing about the Oscars that's cool is it means people are going to see your movie. That's really the deal."
Murray was Oscar nominated for his performance in Lost In Translation - where he went on to pick up the Bafta, Golden Globe and a string of critic awards.
Hyde Park On Hudson is released 1st February 2013.
