Celebrities Beyonce, Steven Tyler and Pitbull have all been cast in a new animated movie from 20th Century Fox called 'Epic', NME Magazine reports.
The 3D computer generated film will apparently tell the story of a teenage girl who is transported into another universe which she has to save in order to then save planet earth, reports Billboard
Beyonce will play Queen Tara while Steven Tyler will play Nim Galuu and Pitbull will voice a character called Bufo. The film will also see animated characters voiced by the likes of Josh Hutcherson, Jason Sudeikis, Aziz Ansari, Colin Farrell, Amanda Seyfried and Johnny Knoxville. The film will be directed by Ice Age director Chris Wedge.
Earlier this year, it was revealed that Tom Cruise was in the frame to play the lead in the new version of A Star Is Born, Beyonce's other current cinematic project.
Beyonce has long been committed to Clint Eastwood's revival of the classic story of a troubled musician who falls in love with the younger singer he is trying to mentor. According to Variety, Warner Bros are courting Cruise to play the male lead. Filming was postponed last year due to Beyonce's pregnancy.
This will be the fourth big screen version of A Star Is Born, following versions in 1937, 1954 and 1976, starring Janet Gaynor, Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand respectively
