Benjamin Walker is heading back to the stage - the actor has rejected a mutant role in the new X-Men prequel to reprise his part in hit musical Bloody, Bloody Andrew Jackson on Broadway.
Walker was tipped to play the role of Beast in the comic-book movie X-Men: First Class, but movie bosses have now offered the part to actor Nicholas Hoult.
He will instead reprise his lead role in the hit rock musical about the controversial U.S. president, that ended its off-Broadway run on 27 June (10).
Jeffrey Richards and Hair's Jerry Frankel will produce the Broadway production, directed by Alex Timbers.
Performances are scheduled to begin on 21 September (10).
Complete casting will be announced at a later date.
