Ben Whishaw as Q
Ben Whishaw has described the character of Q as a new breed of intelligence as well as being a mysterious person.
The actor takes over the role of Q in Skyfall and it will be the first time that this character has appeared in a Bond movie starring Daniel Craig.
But Whishaw hints that this is a new depiction of the character that we have not seen before.
Speaking to Flicks and Bits the actor said: "[Q] is the new breed really, he's the new breed of intelligence. The terror, it's largely conducted through cyber space and a kind of cyber warfare.
"This Q, the new Q, he is a sort of computer genius, one of only six people in the world who has certain knowledge.
"He's quite a mysterious person with a sly sense of humour."
Whishaw is just one of the new faces on the Skyfall cast list as Javier Bardem and Ralph Fiennes are also set to star alongside Craig.
It is going to be a busy few months for the actor as he is also part of the ensemble cast of Cloud Atlas - which hits the big screen early next year.
Skyfall is released 26th October.
