Ben Foster has praised his The Mechanic co-star Jason Statham.
The pair join forces this week for a remake of the 1972 Charles Bronson movie - which also stars Donald Sutherland and is directed by Simon West.
Speaking to Collider the actor said: "We laughed more than not. You know, when he’s comfortable, he’s the funniest guy you’ve ever met.
"Just a wicked, self-effacing, just a good bloke, and a hell of an athlete, and it’s a world that I know very little about, and he was good to me.
"I was impressed with the work that he did this picture. Thought it was quiet, it was internal, it was intense, it could have gone a few different ways, but I thought he had some really quiet, nice moments in this film.
"Yeah, we blew shit up."
Foster's second movie of 2011 Here is currently being shown at the Sundance Film festival and he has several other projects in the pipeline.
He has already completed work on Rampart, which also stars Sigourney Weaver and Steve Buscemi, and Yellow and he is currently filming Contraband with Mark Wahlberg.
