Ben Barnes has revealed that he would have been furious if he had not landed the role of Neil McCormick in Killing Bono because he is good at embarrassing himself.
The British actor is back on the big screen this week with the Nick Hamm directed movie that is based on Neil McCormick's novel "Killing Bono: I was Bono's Doppelganger.
Speaking to Cover Media the actor said: "This script was one of the ones that I read and thought, ‘I will be furious if someone else plays this part, no one can do it well.'"
"I know I can make a fool of myself admirably and so I was sitting in my trailer in Australia doing the Narnia film... brandishing my sword as a guitar pretending to be him."
The movie follows the McCormick brothers struggle in the music business while U2 flourished.
Killing Bono is the first time that we have seen Barnes on the big screen since The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
Killing Bono is released 1st April
