Ben Affleck has revealed that he is excited about the upcoming Star Wars movies but is glad that he doesn't have to direct the project.
It was revealed last month that three more Star Wars movies are to be made after Disney bought LucasFilm for in excess of $4 billion.
And the actor turned director admitted that he would have his mind on other things rather than directing the film.
Speaking to MTV News the director said: "It's very exciting that they're going to make more.
"There might be purists who are opposed to it, but I think it's a very cool thing and I'm excited to go see the movie.
"You're never going to be able to recapture the story that was the initial three, because it's so legendary and iconic. I don't know, I'm glad I don't have that job. It's a tough decision to make.
"I'd be too busy worrying about how the action figures would look for each character to direct the actual movie."
Affleck is currently riding the wave of success with his new movie Argo - which sees him back in the director's chair for the first time since The Town.
The movie has been critically acclaimed and is already one of the early frontrunners for Oscar success.
As for Star Wars VII a director is yet to be named after Steven Spielberg and J.J. Abrams ruled themselves out of the running earlier this week.
