Avatar remains at the top of the Australian box office for a third week.
James Cameron’s sci-fi spectacular has dominated the global box office since it’s release in December breaking through the $1 billion barrier.
It grossed a further $9.6 million to comfortably stay the number one movie down under while Sherlock Holmes stayed at two.
Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law join forces for Guy Ritchie’s interpretation of the legendary sleuth, which has a sequel already in the pipeline.
There was no move at three for Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakuel while Old Dogs remained at four.
Peter Jackson’s The Lovely Bones climbed two places from seven to round off the top five.
Hugh Grant and Sarah Jessica Parker’s new comedy was the highest of the new entries as Did You Hear About The Morgans? opened at six.
The Princess and the Frog, which sees Disney return to traditional forms of animation, was another new entry at seven while Fantastic Mr Fox opened at eight.
New Moon was the week’s biggest faller as it dropped four places from six to ten.
