Ashley Greene has revealed that the Twilight saga will become more 'guy friendly'.
The actress is reprising the role of Alice Cullen in New Moon, which is released later this year, and she has suggested the darker tone in Eclipse, which is currently being filmed, will appeal to a male audience.
In an interview with MTV the actress said: "I think it'll be different. I think it's going to be a battle between the studio and the director [David Slade], and it's going to be a hard balance, 'cause I think he's a little more focused on it being real and maybe it being gorier and a little dark and kind of dramatic."
"The first one was very focused on this love story and really sweet and it was beautiful, but it didn't have a lot of stuff that guys would go, 'Yeah, I want to go see that'.
"There's going to be a lot more focus on [action], and the fight scene will have more emphasis on it. I definitely think it will be a little more guy-friendly."
Twilight was released to major success last year and followed the growing relationship between human Bella Swan and vampire Edward Cullen.
In New Moon Bella is left heartbroken when Edward and his family decide to leave Forks in order to protect her.
Bella finds a form of comfort in reckless living, as well as an even-closer friendship with Jacob Black.
Chris Weitz takes over the directing reigns from Catherine Hardwicke.
New Moon is released 20th November.
